Mia ART GALLERY invites you to a solo exhibition by Lukasz Huculak "Astral Night", which will present his latest series of paintings, in which the artist returns to planetary and cosmic, astral and astronomical themes. The exhibition, held in the Year of Nicolaus Copernicus, will run until May 12.

Painter, scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture, the Government of Bavaria and NGOs, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, where he runs a painting studio and directs doctoral studies. Member of the Academy of Young Scientists and Artists and the Lower Silesian Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. He is a frequent curator and publishes texts on art. Several collective publications have been published under his editorship. Works in the collections of the Museo regionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Palermo, the National Museum in Gdansk, the National Museum in Wroclaw, the Contemporary Museum and the Wroclaw City Museum, the Kulturhistorisches Museum zu Goerlitz and the PKO BP Bank.

His interests include vanitas iconography, the frailty and fragmentation of perceptual processes, the aesthetics of detail and destruction. He is the author of exhibitions dealing with corporeality and mortality ("Late Symptoms of Old Age," "Death in Place"), the natural environment and the extrasensory world ("Sopra Minerva," "Science/Fiction," "Aurora") insects ("Mimicry"), plants ("Heliotropie," "La force des plantes"), witchcraft trials ("Nietota," "Incantations") and modernist themes ("Detail/Spaces," "In the Depths of the Image II"). His last major show was devoted to dystopian landscapes. He has held artist residencies in Munich, Knoxville, Paris and Palermo.
