Regardless of what our associations with the Latin word migratio are today, it sends us back to all manifestations of spatial mobility. Within migrations, we are particularly interested in the migration of visual motifs: painting themes, sculpture structures, and problems – not only the aesthetic ones.

We borrow from each other and from others, as well as from places – nearby and more distant. We play with the change of position, context and filling, seeking the relationships of space with the plane. In the main role, the architectural detail: a sculptural plane and painterly imitation, a special detail or texture, not always decorative, sometimes brutalist: minimalist recesses, casual bends in the wall, fragments of linings, installations and wire sticking out of the corner.

In his fictional biography by Goce Smilevski, Spinoza confesses: “I developed a love of corners; they attracted me greatly. […] wherever we went, I always wanted to be near the place where three lines met”. Three lines meeting: height-width-depth, the origin of directions, spaces, depths and protuberances, sometimes majestic, like a temple colonnade, others cozy, like the Danish hygge. Will we be able to expose this second, hidden face of the place of presentation?
