mia ART GALLERY is pleased to invite you to  the exhibition of Michał Misiak (born in 1973) - one of the most interesting contemporary painters, creating in the geometric abstraction trend, a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He has dozens of individual and collective exhibitions. He is a laureate of numerous awards and a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

A few words from the curator Bogusław Deptuła :
"There is an internal paradox in Michał Misiak's art. Fluctuations is the name of the last cycle of his paintings. Accoriding the dictionary, fluctuation means instability, variability, fluidity, unsteadiness; cyclical fluctuation; waving etc.

However, looking at the paintings of the Krakow painter, I have a completely opposite impression of certainty, efficiency, proficiency. Yes, the painting material is extremely subtle and delicate, but masterfully perfect. Fluctuation is probably expressed by the lines in variable waveforms, but I do not have that impression of instability. On the contrary, the variational nature of those paintings reveals the great invention of a painter who creates sequences of continuous and dashed lines [...]

Michał Misiak is a great master of painting technique. I do not hesitate to admit that he is a perfectionist as well. Yes, perfection in the imperfect world. In those paintings, even the chance is perfect."
