About
Rest in Peace in Space
Is life an absolute beginning? Is death a definite end? Is it worth it to be a good person, or is that not quite the case, and it’s worth it being not quite so good? Are there punishments or rewards waiting for us, reactions to our actions, corresponding to who we were? Is life a constant learning experience, a fairly long session in a medieval torture chamber, or the opposite – the only paradise we will ever reach? Is it worth chasing after idealised images of reality that aren’t real? Or perhaps appreciating more the moments that look less like an advertisement, but are more real because of it? According to the behaviour of the fundamental laws that govern at least our universe, nothing is ever lost – it only changes. The old adage reminds us, however, that everything that has a beginning must have an end. Do we only ever get one chance, and life after death matches our memories from the period before we were born? Do we open our eyes for the first time only once?
