About
Photography is both a separate medium and an art that show us how the artist sees things. In the context of the work of a famous painter, his photographs are priceless evidence for the synthetic way of seeing, an abstract way of perceiving things, as well as a valuable supplement to painterly explorations. Hałas’ photographs are notes on single moments and observations of nature, one of the sources of his inspiration.
Connoisseurs of Józef Hałas’ work will be able to complete their collections with the photographic preludes to the professor’s paintings. On the occasion of the [Rhythms of] Light exhibition, the gallery will publish a limited series of numbered photographic prints, hand-signed by the artist. The exhibition will have two parts: the daytime (the gallery interior) and the night-time (display on the building exterior).
