Anna Halarewicz is one of the most sought-after young Polish illustrators. In her works, she skilfully combines exceptional expression of the illustrator’s line with a painterly colour stain. The flexible, dynamic lines and expansive, vital colours are the trademarks of her works. She works with the biggest Polish fashion magazines, her illustrations have appeared in such titles as Twój Styl, Exklusive, Bluszcz and many others. She takes part in the design of all kinds of everyday items, from t-shirts to elegant calendars.

During the exhibition at Wrocław’s mia ART GALLERY, the viewer will be able to trace the process that the illustrator follows from an idea, through the drawings themselves, designs, and to the final product – an everyday object. As part of “ILLUSTRATIONS”, dozens of drawings published in Polish press will be presented. An interesting addendum to the exposition will be a collection of original magazines with the author’s illustrations, as well as products operating widely on the market, in the creation of which Anna Halarewicz participated: Twój Styl calendars, Zemełka&Pirowska t-shirts, holiday cards (Aliganza, Hexeline, Poswiss), drawings done for Mohito and boards done for Bailey’s on the occasion of the brand’s cooperation with Philip Treacy.

Anna Halarewicz: graduate of the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in graphics (2003-2008). As an illustrator, she works with magazines such as Twój Styl, Bluszcz, Exklusive, Take Me, Viva Moda, Dilemmas, Modo, L’Eclat, and with brands such as Zemełka Pirowska, Hexeline, Mohito, Lous and Baileys. Her works have been presented in dozens of exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including at the BWA in Poznań, Katowice, Opole and Wrocław, in Warsaw’s Centre for Cybernetics, Soho Factory and Skwer, in Wrocław’s mia ART GALLERY and in Galeria Fibak, which represents the artist. In November, Julia Schonlau’s book, 1000 Portrait Illustrations, wich includes illustrations by Anna Halarewicz, was published.
